A certificate of completion signifies that you have completed a series of classes in a subject area. Working toward a certificate is a fun way of organizing your studies and marking your progress toward your goals.
We offer certificates in Acting Fundamentals, Comedy Fundamentals and Voiceover Fundamentals. Working toward a certificate is a great way of organizing your studies while making sure you’ve learned about the essentials of the subject you’re interested in.

- We recommend taking them in the order listed.
- Our other filmmaking classes can be substituted for Let’s Make a Movie.

Acting 101: Getting Started
This introductory four-week class is a great place to start learning about acting, and developing your acting skills.
Whether you’ve done a some acting in the past, or are brand new and have never acted before, we have new classes starting every month.

Acting 2: “Bring a Script to Life!”
In this class, students will learn how to bring a script to life by exploring their character’s needs and motivations.
We’ll perform scenes from short scripts, focusing on what our characgter want or need in the scene; why it matters; finding or creating a backstory; and other key elements of acting.

Acting 103: Creating Characters
One of the things that’s really fun about acting is that it’s a chance to step out of ourselves and usual ways of “being” in the world, and experience what it’s like to be someone different (for a time, in the context of a stage play or movie).

Let’s Make a Movie
In this class, we’ll make an actual short movie, with the students in the starring roles. The finished movie will be posted to Youtube soyou can share it with your friends. We recommend taking Acting 101-104 first, then taking this course.
