Acting 101: Getting Started

Voice Over 101

Acting in a 48 Hour Movie

  • Seattle Acting Institute is a great place to reconnect with your creativity and start learning some new skills.
  • Our Seattle acting classes are open to everyone 17 and older. They meet at Phinney Neighborhood Center (near Greenlake in the north end of Seattle) in the lower (brick) building.

Our philosophy

Our philosophy is that creativity is essential to life. Acting is a natural human skill that anyone can learn.  As we go through life, many of us lose touch with our creativity for a while. Classes and workshops can help us reconnect to it.

Where?

  • Our acting and improv classes meet at Phinney Neighborhood Center (near Green Lake in north Seattle).
  • Our Stand-Up Comedy classes meet at several different Comedy Clubs in the greater Seattle area. (Our comedy classes are on a break but will be back soon)
  • Our Voice Acting classes meet online, but we’ll also be offering some in-person voice classes soon.
